Popular Pakistani TikToker and model Areeka Haq has alleged that certain content creators are leaking their videos for popularity.
In a recent interview, Areeka spoke about what she called a disturbing trend emerging within the TikTok community.
As per Areeka, some TikTokers are reportedly deliberately posting indecent videos of themselves in an attempt to achieve rapid publicity and viral fame. In her view, this outrageous strategy is employed by desperate influencers who need views and digital fame.

“This isn’t something widespread,” Areeka clarified, “but there have been clear cases where these videos don’t seem to be leaked by accident. It feels deliberate—like they want the media spotlight.” She went on to explain that earlier, couples used to make romantic or controversial videos to gain popularity, but as that trend faded, some individuals began seeking more extreme ways to stay relevant.
What’s even more startling is Areeka ’s admission that her perspective on such incidents has changed over time. “I used to think these girls were victims,” she shared, “but now it seems like a few of them are doing it on purpose. That said, I still believe the majority are genuinely being wronged.”

Areeka was also clear about her content boundaries. She emphasized that she has never made compromising videos with any male TikTokers and takes pride in being a responsible and cautious social media user. “I care deeply about how my image is perceived,” she said, adding that she has never chased fame at the cost of her dignity.
The scandal follows several recent gaffes wherein nude videos of TikTokers such as Manahil Malik, Sajal Malik, Samia Hijab, Amsha Rehman, and Aliza Sehr were shared online and created controversy regarding privacy, responsibility, and ethics on social media.
