Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Azam Swati has urged the immediate release of party founder Imran Khan, saying his presence is vital at a time when the nation faces serious external threats, especially from India.
Speaking to media outside the Peshawar High Court, Swati recalled Imran Khan’s words: “This country is mine, and so is the army.” He stated that with tensions rising in the region, particularly in Kashmir, the leadership of the PTI founder is urgently needed.
“The clouds of war are looming. Indian aggression and the ongoing atrocities in Kashmir are among the darkest chapters in human history. Our military is ready, but it’s time for the people to stand united with the armed forces,” said Swati.
The PTI leader stated that Imran Khan’s absence is being deeply felt, adding that only a united front — led by a respected and elected leader — can counter the challenges Pakistan faces today.

He criticized the current government, saying, “Those clownish characters in power cannot protect the country. Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Asif Zardari have looted the country like an ATM machine.”
Court grants one-month protective bail to Azam Swati
Meanwhile, the Peshawar High Court granted a one-month protective bail to Azam Swati in a case filed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
A bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Farah Jamshed heard the case. During the hearing, the Assistant Attorney General informed the court that the federal government had not yet submitted the case record.

Justice Asadullah remarked, “The federation shows interest but also lethargy. If there are cases against such prominent individuals, records must be submitted promptly. If there are no cases, that should also be made clear.”
Swati, citing his heart condition, requested the court to grant him a month to address the matter. The court approved the request and instructed the federal government to present details of all registered cases against him within this period. “The government has made baseless cases against me. I am a heart patient and need time,” Swati added.
