In the face of rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Pakistan’s military has confirmed that it has launched a retaliatory attack against Indian missile attacks on several Pakistani airbases, including Noor Khan, Murid, and Shorkot.
The move follows India’s recent provocation, which involved missile attacks and drone intrusions into Pakistani airspace.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Azhar Khan authenticated the shoot-down of a drone near an airbase lying alongside Sukkur Airport, marking Pakistan’s preparedness to defend itself from any potential attack. Pakistan’s military said it was capable enough to safeguard its people and take whatever actions needed to defend its borders.

The Group of Seven (G7) nations — France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Britain, and the United States — have called upon both Pakistan and India to practice utmost restraint in the aftermath of these attacks. In a common statement, the G7 called for de-escalation immediately and urged both countries to pursue direct talks in order to prevent further conflict.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesman, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, stated that the majority of Indian missiles were destroyed mid-air, and those falling in areas close to airbases did not inflict much damage.

In spite of India’s mounting aggression, Pakistan’s military has countered with strong resistance, vowing additional retaliation if provocations persist.
“We will further compound your frustration soon,” warned General Chaudhry, sending a firm message to India. He added that Pakistan has electronic evidence confirming the missile strikes and has vowed not to be intimidated by India’s actions.
Pakistan’s military also pointed out that India’s reckless military actions, including a drone strike inside Afghanistan, are destabilizing the region and pushing it closer to the brink of war. Pakistan has expressed concern that India is using deception to incite regional instability.
