Pakistan responded in the language India understand best: PM Shehbaz

Date:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saluted the valor of Pakistan’s armed forces and the unbreakable unity of the nation following what he called “an unjustified act of war” by India.

The speech came just hours after Pakistan launched a decisive counter-operation that, according to the PM, “silenced the enemy’s guns and restored regional balance.”

Opening his speech with the recitation and translation of verses from the Holy Quran, the premier set a solemn yet defiant tone, asking for divine blessings on the armed forces and the nation as a whole under Operation Bunyan-um-Marsus—a historic military operation now etched in the country’s defense narrative.

“To my brave, proud, and patriotic Pakistanis—I greet you from the depths of my heart,” PM Shehbaz declared. “We are a self-reliant nation that values sovereignty more than life itself. And when tested, we respond not with fear, but with steel.”

The Prime Minister recounted the events that triggered the escalation, pointing to the Pahalgam incident in Indian-occupied Kashmir, which India used as a pretext for hostility. “They fired missiles at our civilians, mosques, and cities. Even tried to target our military installations. But our restraint has not been misunderstood as weakness,” he underscored.

Pakistan provided talks, inquiry, and diplomacy—when India, fueled by “arrogance and political desperation,” transgressed global norms, compelling Islamabad to take decisive action.

“We told them clearly: the issues you refused to solve at the negotiating table will now be answered on the battlefield.”

Operation Bunyan-um-Marsus: a historic military counterstrike

PM Shehbaz called Pakistan’s military response a textbook case of defense excellence. “Our falcons soared through enemy skies, evading their so-called advanced systems. India’s much-hyped Rafale jets proved useless in front of our PAF heroes. Their air bases, missile depots, and logistics hubs were turned to ash within hours.”

According to military sources, this operation showcased high-level precision targeting, electronic warfare superiority, and deep coordination among the three armed forces, reminding the world of Pakistan’s capability to respond with full force when provoked.

Salute to the brave and the united

PM Shehbaz praised every sector of Pakistan’s defense structure, from Chairman Joint Chiefs General Sahir Shamshad Mirza to Army Chief General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf. “Their leadership has made every Pakistani proud,” he said.

He also paid tribute to the families of soldiers, especially the mothers who raised these fearless sons. “A soldier never fights alone—behind him stands a mother who sends him to the front with prayers and love.”

Political and civilian unity: a national front

In a rare show of bipartisan unity, PM Shehbaz thanked opposition leaders, coalition partners, Nawaz Sharif, and President Asif Ali Zardari for setting aside differences during a time of national crisis.

“This unity was our greatest weapon. No enemy can break a nation where Parliament, media, and civil society stand shoulder-to-shoulder.”

The Prime Minister also hailed the journalists, news anchors, and digital warriors who countered Indian misinformation. “Our youth used facts and reason to dismantle enemy propaganda, showing the power of a digitally aware nation.”

Prayer, patriotism, and prostration

Concluding emotionally, Shehbaz Sharif shared a personal note—he spent the night in Tahajjud (late night prayer), praying for victory and peace. “Allah answered our call. This is a historic moment of national pride, divine help, and the strength of the united Pakistani spirit.”

“Let the world know: We are a peaceful nation—but if attacked, we will rise as lions. This was not just a defense. It was a declaration—Pakistan will never bow.”
