Pakistani cricketers light up social media with eid greetings

Date:

While Eid ul Adha filled millions with joy and religious contemplation, Pakistani cricket icons illuminated social media with Eid greetings warm enough to spread across the globe, prayers touching every heart, and festivals being viewed intimately.

Ranging from brief but sincere wishes to family moments and religious expressions, the country’s leading cricketers offered fans from all over the world the Eid spirit.

Young wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris delivered one of the most thoughtful messages, posting:

“Eid ul-Adha Mubarak to all celebrating around the world. May this sacred day remind us of the beauty of sacrifice, the strength of faith, and the power of gratitude. Wishing you and your families peace, barakah, and closeness to Allah (SWT) on this blessed day and always.”

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam made it simple yet celebratory, writing on his Instagram post simply “Eid Mubarak.” In the photo, he is seen wearing traditional attire, which quickly gained popularity as fans overwhelmed the comment section with his love and wishes.

Meanwhile, pace sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi added a spiritual touch to his Eid message, saying:

“May Almighty accept our sacrifices and guide us towards righteousness. Eid Mubarak!”

His Instagram story resonated with many, reflecting the day’s deeper meaning.

Veteran all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik also joined in with classic “Eid Mubarak” wishes. Malik posted warm family pictures, one of which was with his wife, actress Sana Javed, wearing colorful festive clothes. Shahid Afridi, however, put up a haunting picture of the Holy Kaaba, reminding his fans of the religious significance of Eid ul Adha.

Top-order batsman Imam ul Haq put smiles on people’s faces with a picture with his sacrificial goats, with the caption “Allahumma Barik!” in Arabic. His post was a mix of tradition, humor, and religion.

Young sensation Saim Ayub, among other cricketers, opted for video messages to greet fans, conveying warm messages that embodied the togetherness and happiness of the moment.
