Shocking new details emerge in TikToker Sana Yousaf’s murder case

Date:

In a breakthrough, Islamabad Police have arrested the accused person responsible for the cold-blooded murder of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was gunned down in her Sector G-13 residence earlier this week.

The killing, which shocked fans and residents alike, is now found to be motivated by a personal vendetta, police initial investigations suggest.

Sources verify that the accused, Umar Hayat, was arrested from Jaranwala, Faisalabad in a late-night raid after being traced through CCTV cameras, mobile phone location, and other technical devices. The operation was quick, and the alleged murder weapon—a pistol—and Sana Yousaf’s iPhone were recovered from Umar’s possession.

Authorities disclosed that Umar had been in communication with Sana for a while, suggesting there was a personal relationship between the two. On the day of the attack, Umar is said to have left his motorcycle outside Sana’s home, went inside, and shot her dead before making an escape. He made his getaway on the motorcycle, but CCTV cameras caught him fleeing the area on foot, guiding the search process by investigators.

Umar admitted to the offense when he was interrogated and said it was a premeditated act. The authorities indicate that the motive seems to be personal, as opposed to robbery or senseless violence, though investigation continues.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the Islamabad Police for arresting the suspect within 20 hours of the murder, calling it a “remarkable and commendable effort.” He stated that the use of modern surveillance technology and coordination among law enforcement agencies played a crucial role in solving the case so quickly.

The murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf has not only shaken her followers and fans on social media but also left her family in ruins. Her father, Yousaf Hasan, while talking to Chitral’s media, reacted in disbelief to the murder and refuted having any personal grudges.

“My daughter had no enemies. We are peaceful people,” he said. “I request the government and authorities to ensure that the person responsible is punished and justice is delivered.”

He also urged police and investigative agencies to probe whether the murder was part of a robbery or something else. “It’s the state’s job to find the truth and ensure we get justice,” he added.

Sana’s body was transported to her native hometown Upper Chitral, where hundreds attended her funeral. Meanwhile, police have expanded the scope of the investigation by collecting CCTV footage from multiple locations, including the Safe City cameras along Islamabad Expressway, to retrace the suspect’s movements before and after the crime.

The FIR had been filed initally by Sana’s mother against an unknown attacker, but the arrest of Umar has greatly boosted the investigation.

With the investigation into the TikToker Sana Yousaf homicide ongoing, the authorities are sure that the digital and forensic evidence that has been obtained will provide a compelling legal case against the alleged suspect.
